Special Education Records Destruction Notice

Notice is hereby given that Arlington Public Schools (APS) intends to destroy special education records of former students who graduated, completed their school program, transferred, or withdrew from APS during the 2016-17 school year.

NEW for Summer School: No Charge for Breakfast and Lunch for Summer School Students

Starting July 6, students who attend summer school will receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.

School Board Appoints Principal of Taylor and Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources

The School Board made two leadership appointments at the July 1 Organizational School Board meeting. The board approved Katie Madigan as the Principal of Taylor Elementary School, effective July 5. They also appointed Michael Hodge as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, effective Sept. 1.

Reid Goldstein to Chair School Board

Today, the Arlington School Board held its annual organizational meeting for the 2022-23 school year and elected Reid Goldstein as Chair and Cristina Diaz-Torres as Vice-Chair.

Actualización de precios de comidas escolares y comidas escolares de verano

A partir de marzo de 2022, el Congreso se negó a proporcionar autorización al USDA (Departamento de Agricultura de los Estados Unidos) para extender las exenciones del programa Nacional de Almuerzos Escolares a fin de proporcionar comidas sin costo alguno. Los programas de comidas escolares volverán a sus operaciones normales cuando la Escuela de Verano de APS comience el 5 de julio. El principal cambio es que el almuerzo y el desayuno escolar ya no se servirán automáticamente sin costo para todos los estudiantes.
