January 1, 2018 FSA Administrator Change

This page is to assist employees who participated in 2017 in a Health Care FSA, Dependent Care FSA, Parking FSA, or Transit FSA with our previous vendor, CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc., and who elected to participate in 2018 with our new vendor, Discovery Benefits.

Effective January 1, 2018, Discovery Benefits is the new administrator for the Arlington Public Schools’ Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Plan and replaced our previous FSA administrator, CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc.

If you participated in 2017 in the Health Care FSA or Dependent Care FSA with CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc., please read the following important information:

  • Your debit card issued by CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc. was deactivated on December 31, 2017.
  • You have until March 31, 2018 to submit a claim reimbursement request to CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc. for reimbursement of expenses incurred in the 2017 plan year.  All expenses must be incurred by December 31, 2017.
  • To request reimbursement from CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc. you must submit a manual claim form. See below for claim forms and information about how to submit a claim:

If you participated in 2017 in the Parking FSA or Transit FSA with our previous administrator, CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc., please read the following important information:

  • Your debit card issued by CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc. was deactivated on December 31, 2017.
  • If you participate in the Parking FSA and/or Transit FSA in 2018, you will receive your new debit card from Discovery Benefits.  However, if you utilize your SmarTrip® card at WMATA/Metro terminals, you must connect your Parking and/or Transit FSA account to your registered SmarTrip® card.  For more information, go to the Commuter Benefits page.
  • Parking and Transit expenses incurred in 2017 must be submitted for reimbursement to CompuSys/ERISA Group, Inc. no later than March 31, 2018.  Click HERE to print a Parking/Transit FSA Claim Reimbursement Form
  • Unused funds in your 2017 Parking and/or Transit FSA will be rolled over to your 2018 Parking and/or Transit FSA with our new administrator, Discovery Benefits.  2017 Parking and Transit rollover funds will be posted to your Discovery Benefits account in early May 2018. The Benefits Team will notify you when the rollover is processed and the funds are available.
