In Arlington, Virginia, Spanish for Educators is broadcast to the community on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Comcast Arlington Cable channel 72 and Verizon FIOS 42, from 3:30-5pm. The Tuesday broadcast repeats on Wednesday at 4pm. The Thursday broadcast repeats on Friday at 4pm. School staff will access the online course via Blackboard, with registration.
- The SFE Part 1 online course begins Monday, September 28 and ends December 11, 2015.
The community broadcast schedule is: Tuesday, September 29 through Tuesday, December 3, 2015 (skipping Tuesday and Thursday Thanksgiving week).
- The SFE Part 2 online course begins Monday, January 18 and ends Friday, April 1, 2016
The community broadcast schedule is: Tuesday, January 19 – Thursday, March 31 (skipping Spring break Tuesday 3/2 and Thursday 3/24).
PWCS has partnered withArlington Public Schools to offer this online course. PrinceWilliam teachers need to register via PWCS ERO using the staffdevelopment catalog on the school division’s Intranet and will need todownload the PDF form below to register with the SpanishFor Educators staff in Arlington.
- The SFE Part 1 online professional learning course begins Monday, September 28 and ends December 11, 2015. Download the PWCS Fall 2015 Registration Form.
- The SFE Part 2 online course begins Monday, January 18 and ends Friday, April 1, 2016. Download the PWCS Spring 2016 Registration Form.
- If you would like to supplement your online course, you can view the 90-minute lessons across the county on PWCS‐TV Comcast Channel 18 or Verizon FiOS Channel 36 or in their school buildings by accessing http://thestream.tv.pwcs.edu within the school division network. Lessons air Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the course period. Remember: It is not a requirement to watch the television series as all materials needed are delivered online.
