School Social Workers Week
Arlington Public Schools is celebrating its social workers for their hard work and dedication to ensuring student success this week. Watch this video to see how social workers support our students. Thank you to our school social workers!

Event Highlights
Arlington SEPTA
will be holding its monthly meeting this Thursday, March 10th.

For many years, the PRC has offered an ADHD Parent Series to support families of students with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. We have most often offered this series in the evening, but this year will be offering a virtual morning option on Wednesdays beginning on March 30th.

The Arc of Northern Virginia is partnering again with the Arlington County Police to offer a great opportunity for people with disabilities and their loved ones to practice emergency situations on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kenmore Middle School. This event is open to anyone with any disability or general anxiety about police interactions, regardless of where they live. These sessions are free, but preregistration is required. For more information or to register, visit: https://thearcofnova.org/events/practice-police-interactions/

Have feedback to share about transportation experiences in Arlington?  Vision Zero in Arlington wants to learn more about the daily challenges that people with disabilities face as they get around – either walking, wheeling, biking, driving, taking the bus or metro, or being a passenger – so that they can ensure  transportation safety initiatives intentionally address ongoing safety issues and reduce disproportionate impacts on these groups. The focus groups will be small, moderated virtual discussions and last no longer than one hour with a group of 8-10 people. The focus group is a one-time commitment in late March. Please respond to April Rosenthal at arosenthal@arlingtonva.us by MARCH 10 if you are interested. (Please provide your name, email and best phone number).
