Arlington Public Schools (APS) understands the importance of protecting our local water ways from erosion and stormwater pollutants. APS received our Phase II (small) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit on April 18, 2014. An MS4 is a conveyance or system of conveyances of stormwater (including roads, curbs, gutters, catch basins, man-made channels). We are responsible for developing best management practices or minimum control measures (MCM) in six areas.
