Washington-Lee High School Athletics Receives National Award

W-LWashington-Lee High School received the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Quality Program Award at its annual conference in Nashville yesterday. Washington-Lee is the only high school to receive the prestigious award.

The NIAAA award recognizes excellence in implementation and administration of a high school athletics program. The award also recognizes the continuing research and implementation of professional benchmarks and best practices.

The primary goal of the NIAAA Quality Program Award is to encourage measurement, planning and goal setting aimed at continuous improvement of local school athletic programs.The National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association preserves, enhances and promotes educational-based athletics through the professional development of interscholastic athletic administrators.
