Two Students Earn National PTA Reflections Honors

Two Arlington students earned national honors in the PTA Reflections contest.

The students honored are:

Reflections is a nationwide contest and arts promotion program that encourages students to create works in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and visual arts, based on a common theme. This year’s theme was “Within Reach.”  All students from prekindergarten through 12th grade were eligible to enter.

The students will be recognized All winning works will be debuted at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC. The exhibit opens on January 22, 2019.

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).
