School Board Holds Work Session on ATSS and Inclusion

The School Board work session held on Thu, May 25 focused on the Arlington Tiered System of Support (ATSS) and Inclusion.

Staff provided an overview of ATSS as well as the action steps that have been taken in order to support implementation within APS. The School Board also reviewed the current policies related to ATSS and discussed the impact of consolidating several of them into a more comprehensive policy.

In addition to ATSS, the work session focused on inclusion. Staff and the School Board reviewed the foundation for inclusion in APS and then focused on the implementation plan for moving forward.
