PreK Registration Underway

The application window to apply for PreK Programs in Arlington Public Schools is open now through 4 p.m. on Tue, April 18.

Primary Montessori
The Primary Montessori program serves children ages 3, 4 & 5 in a multi-age setting. The program is open to any Arlington child who will be turning three (3) years old by September 30, 2017. To apply, parents can submit an application to each eligible school location found on the application. The 2017-18 applications will be available at Montessori sites and on the Early Childhood website.

Families are also invited to attend Montessori Information Night on Wed, Feb. 22 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Drew Model School. At this event, families can learn about the Montessori program in APS, meet staff, tour classrooms and turn in applications. Childcare will be provided. Virginia Preschool Initiative (VPI)
The VPI PreK program serves eligible students who turn four (4) years old by September 30, 2017. To apply to the VPI program, bring all required documents to the Syphax Education Center, 2110 Washington Blvd. Arlington, VA 22204 during the application window. Syphax Welcome Center hours are 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday

*Special Evening hours will be available during the application window every Thursday until 8 p.m.

You can reach the Welcome Center by phone at 703-228-8000. The Syphax Education Center is located next to Arlington DHS off ART bus routes 45 & 42, “Sequoia DHS/2nd St” stop.
