March 28, 2022

Good afternoon! This week, the Parent Resource Center will launch our ADHD Parent Series on Wednesday, and will be co-sponsoring NOVA Night on Thursday. The Arlington Special Education Advisory Committee (ASEAC) rescheduled March meeting will be held tomorrow evening, Tuesday, March 29th. Details and registration links can be found in our Events section below.

March is Traumatic Brain Injury Awareness Month
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a form of an acquired brain injury that can range from mild, moderate to severe. Brain injuries can range from concussions to injuries resulting from falls, car accidents, and other traumas that result in insult to the brain. Depending on injury,  severity, and needs, students may require temporary informal supports, formal accommodations through a Section 504 plan, or specially designed instruction (special education) to support recovery and ongoing needs.

For more information about traumatic brain injuries, please contact Gina DeSalvo, Coordinator at the Parent Resource Center for additional information and resources.
