2. Spotlight: Students Gain Job Skills and Life Lessons at Jake’s Ice Cream
Watch this video highlighting a special partnership that serves up hands-on work experience for students AND delicious ice cream! Arlington Career Center’s Program for Employment Preparedness (PEP) prepares students for the workforce through local partnerships like the one with Jake’s Ice Cream. Jake’s employs staff with special needs and helps to prepare APS high school students for the workforce. Students learn work readiness skills and serve up sweet treats in a supportive and inclusive setting. Learn more about PEP.

3. Meal Prices + Special Summer Meal Pickup Locations
The USDA’s waiver allowing schools to serve free breakfast and lunch has expired, which means that APS is no longer able to provide school meals at no cost for all students. If you have a child attending summer school and believe you may qualify for benefits, please complete the meal application by June 30. APS is providing free daily meal pickups for students 18 and under from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. during summer school at three locations, Carlin Springs, Randolph and Barrett elementary schools.  View new information about APS meal prices for summer and the 2022-23 school year, as well as summer meal distribution plans.

4. Immunization Information for the New School Year

5. Congratulations Graduates!
What a wonderful week of celebrating students achieving milestones during graduation promotion events. APS is incredibly proud of the Class of 2022 and wishes every student continued success in their next chapter.If you missed the graduation ceremonies, watch them online and view photo highlights.
