Community Feedback Sought on Enrollment, Instructional and Facility Options

Deadline for Feedback Extended to Tue, April 18

APS has extended the deadline to Tue, April 18, at 11:59 p.m. for online surveys regarding important policy issues related to revisions of the enrollment and transfer policy, concept for the K-12 instructional vision, and options for a new, 1,300-seat high school. These issues are all currently are being considered by the School Board, with final decisions expected in June 2017. Three online surveys are currently posted to gather community input:

  1. Draft concept forK12 Instructional Vision, with more information on the vision available here
  2. Options for 1,300 NEW H.S. seats, with more information on options available here
  3. Proposed revisions to Enrollment & Transfer Policy, with more information available here

After the online feedback is closed, the School Board will continue to receive feedback through the online form available on the Engage with Us webpage, until a final decision is made.

As a reminder, the School Board will hold a work session on the Enrollment and Transfer policy and has added High School Options to the agenda for tomorrow, April 18, from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Education Center, 1426 N Quincy St. The work session will also be live streamed online here.

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).
