Come Join APS at the Arlington County Fair

Get a Chance to Meet New Principals

Updated Aug. 17: APS families and community members are encouraged to stop by the Arlington County/Arlington Public Schools booth during the County Fair this weekend.

The annual Arlington County Fair will be held at Thomas Jefferson Community Center, August 15-19, inside dates are August 17-19. APS will once again share space with Arlington County and will be jointly located near the main entrance to share information.

If your school has a new principal, stop by and say hello or stop by to talk with a School Board Member.

  • 10 a.m.-Noon: Kimberley Graves, Drew and Michelle McCarthy, Jamestown
  • Noon-2 p.m.: Heidi Smith, Hoffman-Boston and Ellen Smith and New Middle School at Stratford

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).

At its June 22 meeting, the Arlington School Board appointed Gina Miller as Principal of Arlington Science Focus Elementary School.
