Families Must Complete a New Consent Form to Opt-In
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, APS will partner with CIAN Diagnostics to administer weekly in-school COVID surveillance testing as part of a CDC grant through VDH. This change applies to the preventative testing (surveillance) program for staff and students via opt in only.
- All staff and families who wish to opt in for weekly in-school testing after Jan. 1 must complete a new consent form (required for both currently enrolled and new families).
- APS staff and families who are currently participating in weekly testing will receive a notice about the change soon and in January when new forms are available on the School Year 2021-22 COVID Testing webpage.
ResourcePath will continue to provide Athletic/extracurricular testing through March and symptomatic/exposed testing appointments/walk ups at Kenmore Middle School. This is the testing offered when symptoms occur or a person is identified as a close contact.
Quicker, unencrypted test results will soon be available via weblink from Qualtrics, in multiple languages, and may be used for return-to-school approval in lieu of an official lab report.
