Español

The Department of Teaching and Learning and Office of Student Services are pleased to announce that School Social Workers will be available to families, staff and students, every weekday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., from Mon, June 22 through Fri, Aug. 21.

Although all Social Workers are not working through the Summer Break, there will be several available every day. These Social Workers are available to assist with the following:

  • Referrals to resources (such as DHS, AFAC, Arlington Thrive, or other agencies);
  • Consultation with parents and staff about academic, social-emotional, or other concerns; and
  • Assistance with navigating services or benefits

Families may access the support of an APS Social Worker by phone or email at SchoolSocialWork@apsva.us which will be monitored daily. Messages received will be forwarded to the Social Workers who are working at the time of receipt.
