APS Announces All-District Band Results 2019-2020

The following students have been selected for the Virginia Band and Orchestra Directors’ Association (VBODA) District 12 Honors Band. The event takes place at Chantilly High School from January 30-Feb 1 with the concert taking place on Sat, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m.

Middle School Honors Band (Junior band)

Jefferson – Scott Gowdy and Leonard Schrag (alternate)
Kenmore – Nicolaus Antezana and Henry Price
Swanson – Benjamin Backer, Daisy Maxwell, Connor Rogers (alternate) and Ellen Summers
Williamsburg –Lucas Bragan (alternate), Michael Discenza (alternate), Ellie Grieco and Dylan Yeo

High School Symphonic Band (2nd Senior Band)

H-B Woodlawn – Audrey Smith
Wakefield – Margaret Anderson (alternant) and Colin Mashkuri (alternate)

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).
