In lieu of our regular Monday Message, the team at your Parent Resource Center wanted to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families. The opportunity to work with Arlington’s wonderful families, parent leaders (such as our SEPTA and ASEAC leadership team and parent liaisons), administrators and colleagues on behalf of students fills us with gratitude today and each day throughout the year. We are especially grateful this week to our Office of Special Education Co-Directors, Dr. Kelly Krug and Ms. Heather Rothenbuescher, and Dr. Jason Ottley, APS Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer, for supporting the Parent Resource Center in providing a Saturday special education seminar last weekend for parent/guardians who speak Spanish, and to Monica Lozano Caldera, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Coordinator at the Arlington Career Center, and Ms. Gina Argotti, Parent Leader, for co-facilitating with the Parent Resource Center’s Emma and Kathleen. Finally, a huge thank you to all of the parents who joined us for a wonderful Saturday of learning together based on our five episode telenovela, La Sopa de la Abuela.
The Parent Resource Center will be closed during the Arlington Public Schools Thanksgiving Break, and will re-open on Monday, November 28th.
