Network Update: Connection Restored, Distance Learning to Resume Thu, Oct. 22

Español

APS Staff and Families:

We wanted to provide an update on network services. Yesterday, APS experienced a complete loss of internet service as well as the connection to our secondary data center in Ashburn. The primary cause of the outage was damage to a fiber optic cable in Vienna.

Our service provider repaired the damaged cable overnight and restored service late this morning. As of 1 p.m., APS network services have been restored.

Distance learning will resume for all students, tomorrow, Oct. 22.

If you have any technology issues, please visit https://aps2016.apsva.us/school-year-2020-21/technical-support/. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your continued patience.
