APS to Host Annual College Fair

Arlington Public Schools will host its annual Beyond APS: College Fair 2018 on Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 6-8 p.m. at Washington-Lee High School (1301 N. Stafford St.). At the college fair, families will have an opportunity to speak with representatives from over 145 colleges, universities, trade schools, military and other organizations. In addition to exploring post-secondary options, attendees will have an opportunity to attend a workshop on the college admissions process.

Students are encouraged to register online for the college fair. Once students register through VACRAO by creating a student profile, they will be able to print a barcode to bring to the college fair. The barcode is to be presented to the college and university representatives at the college fair, who will be able to access student information by scanning the barcode. This eliminates the completion of prospect cards at each table.

Families interested in learning about post-secondary options are encouraged to attend this free event. Community-based organizations will also be available at the college fair to provide information about available scholarships and other post-secondary resources.

To view a list of the colleges, universities, trade schools, military and community organizations confirmed to attend, please visit aps2016.apsva.us/BeyondAPS.
