Meeting to Focus on Options and Transfers and School Options
Arlington Public Schools will host two community meetings on updating School Board Policy 25-2.2 Options and Transfers and School Options.
The Review, Revise, Refine Community Meetings will be held on Thu, March 30 and Tue April 4. Both meetings will begin at 7 p.m. and will be exactly the same. The March 30 meeting will be held at Wakefield High School (1325 S. Dinwiddie St.) and the April 4 meeting will be held at Yorktown High School (5200 Yorktown Blvd.).
The meeting will include a main presentation by Assistant Superintendent of Instruction Dr. Tara Nattrass and Director of Planning and Evaluation Lisa Stengle followed by three 20-minute breakout sessions.
Staff will share the proposed changes to SBP 25-2.2 and a DRAFT vision for K-12 instruction that includes options for the location and instructional focus of 1,300 new high school seats. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to gather feedback to shape the proposals for the School Board.Both meetings will be livestreamed on the APS website.
