APS Summer Activities Fair Scheduled for Feb. 10

APS Summer Activities Fair is scheduled for Fri, Feb. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 2nd Street, South. This event is free to the public and no pre-registration is required. The event will provide Arlington residents with the opportunity to obtain information about activities that will be offered this summer by a variety of organizations. Representatives from approximately 100 different programs will be available to talk with parents about:

  • APS Summer School
  • Arlington County Parks and Recreation summer programs
  • Academic and art programs
  • Day camps
  • Sport camps
  • Overnight camps
  • Camps offering accommodations for children with special needs

A complete listing of participating programs will be available online after Feb. 1. At the event, teens may obtain a listing of organizations offering summer work and/or volunteer opportunities. The event is co-sponsored by the Department of School and Community Relations and the Arlington County Council of PTAs.

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).
