Historical Markers Visits the Cherrydale Fire Station

In this week’s episode, Historical Markers visits the original Cherrydale Fire Station. Home to the Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department, the station was opened in 1919. The station served as a meeting place for the community and was staffed solely by volunteers until 1940 when Arlington County augmented staffing with career fire fighters.
