CrossingGuard School Bus Safety Program Resumes July 1

VA-ArlinCG-FBImage-201507Beginning July 1, vehicles that illegally pass an Arlington Public Schools bus that is stopped for students are at risk for receiving a $250 traffic ticket through the school district’s CrossingGuard School Bus Stop-Arm Safety Camera Program. When the stop arm is deployed, the sensors automatically detect a vehicle illegally passing the stop arm in either direction or captures video of the violation including the vehicle’s license plate.

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).
