Frank Bellavia, Director of Communications
Frank oversees the day-to-day activities of the department, including the publicity calendar, the public relations liaison network, and special projects and initiatives that support school communications. In addition, Frank is the primary contact for the news media and coordinates internal and external communications.

Dulce Carrillo, Supervisor of Public Engagement
Dulce oversees family and community engagement and coordinates engagement processes across departments, schools, and the community. Her role is to enable public engagement to flourish, support new tools and initiatives, facilitate community engagement, and build the capacity of families, staff, and community leaders to support student success. She serves on the Boards of Virginia Humanities, Arlington Community Foundation, Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and the Arlington County Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.

Sara Daniel, Supervisor, Web, Design & Print Services
Sara manages e-communications services for APS, including the website and APS School Talk services. She also provides graphic design services for all major publications developed by the school division.

Andrew Robinson, Communications Coordinator for Media Relations and Online Strategies
The Communications Coordinator is the primary point of contact for the news media, and is responsible for writing and distributing news and information about APS to internal and external audiences in the Arlington community. He also manages all social media communications for APS.

Elisabeth Lúa, Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Coordinator
The FACE Coordinator supports school-based staff, families, and the community to ensure that schools are friendly, welcoming environments that support student success. The FACE Coordinator provides specialized training for families and professional development for staff to ensure that family and community engagement programs and strategies are aligned with the Arlington Public Schools Strategic Plan.

Gerson Paniagua, Coordinator of Family Engagement and Public Information
Gerson coordinates family engagement and outreach activities to increase parent engagement in the education and development of their children in APS, and to increase community support of parents in this endeavor. This position communicates with local realtors, parent organizations, private preschools, and childcare providers to help increase understanding of the program options and opportunities available for children and families throughout APS.

Dawn Smith, Volunteer, Partnership and Events Manager
Dawn is responsible for the recruitment of volunteers and partners, and communicates the positive contributions that they make to APS. She also plans, organizes and promotes countywide celebrations and recognitions to showcase the work and accomplishments of the school division.
