Equity Teams

Equity is one of APS’ core values and in order to create equitable outcomes for our students we need to have teams in our buildings that are action oriented. Each school team will establish an Equity Team and some schools may participate in a SMART goal that focuses on self-reflection and growth for equity, specifically narrowing in on biases and assumptions. Team members will explore how APS organization’s historical routines, school policies, school practices and school data best reflect current equity practice. By the end of the school year, each team will share a final product that shows the growth and progress made towards establishing equity teams and/or showing progress towards their equity SMART goal.
