Title I: One of the many wonderful aspects of your child’s new school is that it is a Title I school!  Here is what it means to be a Title I school in APS.

The Title I School-Family Partnership: Working together in partnership with families is very important to Title I schools. And as a parent/guardian of a child attending a Title I school, you have some specific additional rights to request information and participate in the development of school plans and in decisions about your child’s learning. Here are some resources for families that you may find helpful.

English Learners: Is your child an English Learner? APS’ Language Services and Welcome Center can be a great first stop! All of our schools provide services for English Learners! There is also a Bilingual Family Specialist in your school who acts as a bilingual and bicultural liaison for parents and school: find your Bilingual Family Specialist here!

There are many opportunities to get involved at the school district level as well as at your school. We hope to engage with you in many supportive ways as a member of our community!
