Following the lottery for option schools and programs, Arlington Public Schools (APS) makes public the information about the number of available seats available, the number of applications received, how many students received an offer, and the number of students remaining on the waitlist for all pre-K, elementary, and secondary option schools/programs and neighborhood transfers. Families interested in applying to an option school/program are able to do so after the application period closes by submitting an application through the online application portal, but will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist.
The numbers for waitlists continually change as seats become available, so the data for waitlist numbers is accurate as of the date it is made public. Families are able to log into the online application portal to check their location on the waitlist at any time. As seats become available and offers are made, waitlist numbers will be updated on the portal. Additional information about option schools/programs and neighborhood transfers is available on the School Options Overview page. Please visit the links below to view the options and transfers application data for each school year.
