Options and Transfers for the 2019-20 School Year

Elementary Schools

• The application period for requesting a transfer to a countywide option school for the 2019-20 school year will take place between Feb. 1 through April 15, 2019.
• Admission to all countywide option schools is based on an application and lottery process.
• Parents must complete an online Options School Application between Feb. 1 – April 15, 2019.
• Applications must be submitted by the deadline on April 15, 2019 at 4 p.m.

*Due to the upcoming elementary school boundary changes, APS is not able to offer neighborhood transfers at this time. Learn more about the boundary changes here.

Middle Schools

• The application period for the 2019-20 school year will take place between Nov. 5, 2018 and Jan. 18, 2019.
• Admission to all area and countywide schools will be based on an application and lottery process.
• Applications must be submitted by the deadline on Jan. 18, 2019 at 4 p.m.

High Schools

• The application period for the 2019-20 school year will take place between Nov. 5, 2018 and Jan. 18, 2019.
• Admission to all Area and Countywide Schools will be based on an application and lottery process.
• Applications must be submitted by the deadline on Jan. 18, 2019 at 4 p.m.
