APS Multimodal Transportation Options
Arlington Public Schools encourages its communities to utilize health, green transportation options when traveling to and from APS schools and sites. Promoting these options is the focus of APS Go!, a community-wide, school-driven process that raises awareness and provides incentives, information and encouragement related to walking, biking, transit, car/vanpooling and school busing. Using these different modes to get to school makes us healthier, activates our brains, helps us build community, share experiences, save money, and help the environment. It’s a win-win for everyone!
APS families and employees can use the following resources to help plan travel on bike, on foot, on the bus or in carpools. Be sure to test out different options to find the one(s) that fit you best, and try them on a day when you aren’t in a rush.
Be on the lookout for these great events too! Walk to School Day in October, Love the Bus Week in February, and Bike to School Day in May.
