Sept. 20 Engage Updates: “Getting Started” Boundary Meeting and Questionnaire

“Getting Started” Community Meeting and Questionnaire on Fall 2018 Elementary School Boundary Process – Wednesday, Sept. 26
The Fall 2018 process to adjust elementary school boundaries will include Abingdon, Barcroft, Drew, Fleet (Henry), Hoffman-Boston, Long Branch, Oakridge, and Randolph, with new boundaries taking effect for the 2019-20 school year.

On Wednesday, Sept. 26, APS will hold a “Getting Started” Community Meeting from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Kenmore Middle School (200 S. Carlin Springs Rd.; 22204). Staff will present proposed boundaries based on a combination of policy considerations for community input; simultaneous interpretation will be offered and the meeting can be viewed live online (aps2016.apsva.us/engage/livestream/). Also, community members can provide input on the proposed boundaries using an online questionnaire from Sept. 26 through Oct. 9 at aps2016.apsva.us/elementary-school-boundary-change/.
