School Board Adopts Summer School Fees

Appoints Chief Diversity Officer and Yorktown Principal

The School Board adopted fees for Summer School 2020 at the Dec. 19 meeting. The Board approved a staff recommendation that fees for Secondary Summer School will remain the same as last year while the full fee for Make Up and Strengthening courses would rise to $150.

Elementary Strengthening will continue to be for students below grade-level in reading and/or mathematics. Registration is by recommendation only and schools will notify eligible students during the March Parent-Teacher conferences. Staff will work closely with the Arlington Parks & Recreation Department to ensure that county enrichment opportunities are communicated to APS families.
