Dear APS Families,

We have several important community surveys in progress, and I encourage you to participate. Your feedback is important to us and helps us gather actionable data to strengthen student services, operations and more.

  • 2022 Your Voice Matters Survey (Deadline: Apr 10): Families received an email from Panorama Education with a personalized survey link on Mon, March 14. This is the biannual survey APS conducts to gather input on family engagement, student well-being, school climate and other vital areas. Responses are confidential. Details online.
  • School Bell Times Study Survey (Deadline: Mar 28): This survey launched today to gather community input on potential changes to school start and end times for the 2022-23 school year. The survey is part of the School Bell Times Study Project to improve transportation and maximize instructional time. Responses will help form recommendations to the School Board on April 28, for vote on May 12. Questions can be directed to engage@apsva.us. Take the survey.
  • 2022 SEL Survey (Mar 21-April 8): In addition to the two community-wide surveys, the Panorama Social and Emotional Survey (SEL) Survey for students (grades 3-12) opens on March 21. This is administered online in a classroom setting on topics such as well-being and sense of belonging. Details, including the sample surveys, are available online.

Reminder that today is an Early Release Day for all schools and professional learning day for teachers.

Thank you in advance for participating in the surveys and for being valued members of the APS community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Francisco Durán
