Students at Randolph Elementary have raised more than $1,700 dollars collecting coins to benefit Path Forward. Students have raised more than ever before in the 20-year partnership with the non-profit organization.

Action is a big part of learning and teaching at Randolph, an IB World School. 5th graders kicked off the coin drive with a campaign to teach other students about Path Forward and the logistics of the coin drive. From there, each grade level has cultivated action in different ways.

An example of this is two students in our second-grade class, Wyatt and Lucas who spent a weekend running a hot cocoa and apple cider to raise money for the coin drive. When asked why, Lucas said, “Homelessness is not good, and everyone should have a home. It is just the right thing.”

Wyatt shared, “We had fun doing it because it made people happy to get hot chocolate and apple cider.”

Wyatt and Lucas collected $130 from their efforts.
