APS News Release

Please Share Feedback on Distance Learning and Return-to-School Planning

Español

Dear APS Families,

As we work on planning for the return to school in the fall, we would like to hear your feedback on your students’ distance learning experiences during the school closures, and gather input on possible scenarios and contingencies for our return to school.

Please share your thoughts with us through this anonymous survey, available in English, Spanish, Amharic, Arabic and Mongolian. Your feedback will help us improve on the distance learning experience and inform our planning for the fall.

Complete the Online Survey

The survey will be open through June 15.

Families can participate in the survey online in English, Spanish and Arabic. PDFs of surveys in all languages, including Amharic and Mongolian, are available online on the APS Engage website, and printed copies will be available in all languages at the nine APS meal distribution sites, which operate Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Families can return completed surveys to the meal distribution sites by 1 p.m. on Monday, June 15.

Your feedback will be shared with staff engaged in planning for the fall, as well as with the Return to School Task Force. As I shared at the June 4 Board meeting, we are forming a stakeholder Task Force, comprised of APS staff, families, community members and students, which will provide input on planning for the return to school. See my full presentation here.

This survey is focused on gathering input from the majority of our families, and we will use additional methods to collect information from families taking the surveys in other languages and families who are not able to access technology, allowing additional time to gather this information.

Thank you for helping us as we move forward in these unprecedented times. We’re in this together.

Sincerely,

Dr. Francisco Durán
Superintendent
