APS families and community members are encouraged to stop by the Arlington County/Arlington Public Schools booth during the County Fair. The annual Arlington County Fair will be held at Thomas Jefferson Community Center, August 16-20, inside dates are August 18 – 20.
APS will once again share space with Arlington County and will be jointly located near the main entrance to share information. This year’s theme is “Super Heroes,” both County and APS staff are all “super heroes” in many unique ways. Each County and APS employee in the exhibit space will be wearing a t-shirt or cape that highlights a special “super power.“

Throughout the event, APS staff will distribute “APS Class of _____” stickers to former graduates/alumni, current students enrolled in APS, and our young “future” students (ages 1 month through 4).
This allows us an opportunity to engage with current and future alumni of all ages as well as young families and seniors to talk about the “good old days,” hear about experiences from current students, and engage with young families about the opportunities available at APS schools and programs.
Fair attendees will be able to learn how to volunteer with APS, obtain a Senior Citizen Card, and submit questions with “Ask APS” notecards.
