Community Engagement Opportunities – October 2021

Dear Friends of APS:

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. In addition, National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated across the county each year from Sep. 15 to Oct. 15.

APS is currently reviewing our school division’s relationship and operations with School Resource Officers (SROs), including the review and monitoring of the APS Memorandum of Understanding with Arlington County Police Department (ACPD). You are invited to provide input on the future of this relationship by completing the questionnaire (links below) by Oct. 20.

Arlington Community Events:

Arlington County is offering free, walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics to individuals ages 12+, no appointment required. Children 12-17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
