The Superintendent’s Proposed FY 2019-28 CIP includes a new 725-seat elementary school at Reed; a second 725-seat elementary school opening in 2029; a middle school addition with 300 new seats in 2023; 600 seats in the renovated Education Center to expand enrollment at Washington-Lee, and an 800-seat addition at the Career Center.
School Board Adopts 2018-24 Strategic Plan Mission, Vision, Core Values and Goals

At its June 7 meeting, the School Board adopted the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Goals of the 2018-24 APS Strategic Plan that serves as a framework for the School Board and Advisory Committees, school and department plans, and individual work plans.
APS Seniors Win College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship

Today, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced that Washington-Lee High School senior Benjamin McCracken and Yorktown High School senior Elizabeth Discenza earned National Merit Scholarships financed by colleges or universities.
