Arlington School Board Meetings Now Slated to Begin at 6:30 p.m.

School Board Work Sessions Will Start at 7:00 p.m.
Process for Speakers Topics Also Revised

Beginning with the 2017-18 school year, Arlington School Board meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. All School Board Work Sessions will begin at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Citizen comment on non-agenda items will not begin during the regular School Board meetings before 7 p.m.  Speakers will have up to two (2) minutes to address the School Board on a topic.  A list of the 2017-18 School Board meeting and Work Session dates is posted online at https://aps2016.apsva.us/school-board-meetings/.

  1. The Online Sign up to Speak at a School Board Meeting Form to request in advance to speak at a School Board meeting. The form is available at https://aps2016.apsva.us/school-board-meetings/sign-up-to-speak/. The online sign-up form opens a week before the meeting and closes at 4 p.m. the day before the meeting. Speakers can also complete and submit a speaker form to the School Board Clerk at the meeting before the presentation for the agenda item begins.
  2. A link to watch the livestream of meetings and work sessions.

Agendas for School Board meetings and background information are posted on Board Docs at http://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/arlington/Board.nsf/vpublic?open.  Information for regular Board meetings is generally posted one week before the meeting and information for work sessions is posted as it becomes available.
