APS Seeks Volunteers for Sustainability Committee

APS is currently seeking individuals to serve as members on the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability. The Sustainability Committee addresses issues relating to energy and environmental conservation within our school operations and educational curriculum. Members will serve a two-year term and meet on a monthly basis.

A committee of parents, community members, students and staff address issues and provide recommendations in the following areas:

  • Policies and procedures with respect to environmental sustainability.
  • Energy and environment curriculum.
  • Management and conservation programs.
  • Community outreach.

Arlington Public Schools to Participate Summer Meals Program

Arlington Public Schools is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to students ages 18 and under on a first come, first serve basis, from July 5-Aug. 1 at Carlin Springs Elementary School (5995 5th Road S.).
