Vertical Scaled Scores: Fall 2022 Growth Assessments for Grades 3-8 Reading & Mathematics

Fall 2022 Growth Assessment –  Mathematics

Steps:
1)  Near the top of your child’s score report, find the name of the test (see number 1 to the right). In the table below, find the row that matches the name and grade of the test.

2)  Find the Vertical Scaled Score on your child’s Student Detail by Question (SDBQ) report (see number 2 to the right).

3)  In the Reading table (see number 3 below), find the row with the same test name and locate the range of scores that includes your child’s Vertical Scaled Score. Refer to the column header for the range (Range 1 – 4) that includes your child’s Vertical Scaled Score.

4) Using the graphic (see number 4 below), find the description of the quartile range in which your child’s score falls.

5) The additional information on the score report (see number 5 above) indicates the types of questions your child answered correctly and incorrectly. Parents/Guardians are encouraged to talk with their child’s teacher for suggestions about how to best support their child’s individual needs.
