April is Occupational Therapy Month

Occupational TherapyApril is OT month: Occupational Therapy (OT) Living Life to the Fullest!

Occupational therapy is the only profession that helps people across the lifespan do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations). In APS, occupational therapists work with students with disabilities to ensure they participate as fully as possible in all aspects of their school day. Occupational therapy practitioners have a holistic perspective, in which the focus is on adapting the environment and/or task to fit the person, and the person is an integral part of the therapy team. It is an evidence-based practice deeply rooted in science.  Thank you to APS OTs for the hard work they do every day to ensure full participation for all of our students.
