As a follow-up to the Virtual High School Information Night this past November, all APS high schools and programs would like to invite students and families to their virtual school-based information nights.

APS Update on Addressing Bus Driver Concerns

Our drivers and attendants are valued members of the APS team. We have taken many steps to address the concerns of some of our drivers regarding compensation, culture and climate, and we continue working with our transportation team to ensure we retain excellent school bus drivers in Arlington.

Today, I have updates to share on APS inclement weather procedures. I am also pleased to announce the nomination process for APS Teacher and Principal of the Year, as well as updates on instruction and vaccination rates for children aged 5+.

There are so many great things happening in APS as we begin our second quarter. I continue visiting schools to observe lessons, intervention planning and other important work teachers and staff are doing to support students. I look forward to sharing more videos to highlight that work in the coming weeks.

Parade at Drew Highlights Character Traits

Dr. Charles R. Drew Elementary students and staff held their Quarter 1 Project-Based Learning (PBL) Showcase on November 3. A parade through the Green Valley community highlighted student work that had been completed throughout the first quarter.
